Two dozen eager Year 5s descended upon Birmingham's Genting Arena yesterday to take part in this year's Young Voices extravaganza!

After months of training under the expert tutelage of Chaucer's resident musical maestro, Mrs Smith, the children finally got their chance to put their vocal cords to the test, forming a choir made up of thousands of other school children from around the country and performing to a large audience of friends & family.

Many of the songs in the programme were completed solely by the choir but there was also the opportunity to accompany estabished acts such as Lucy Spraggan, Mic Lowrey and the ever-energetic Urban Strides dance troupe.

Many thanks to the parents that were able to come along and support the event. It was a big bonus for the children knowing there were some Chaucer fans in the arena!
