The Deep

First trip of the school year was a great day out to 'The Deep' in Hull

The Deep is a brilliant attraction for a school trip, the sealife is absolutely amazing. On our arrival some of us had a ride on the scenic lift, this gives you the perfect viewing point to see some of the fish. The children loved this!

We then went on to explore more. We went into the Kingdom of Ice, and the walls were really made of ice, a little cold in here

This is also were the penguins live. After enjoying our time in here it was time for lunch before moving on to the learning centre.

This activity was all about solving a murder mystery. We got to use computers and microscopes to help us. We had to find out who in the aquatic foodchain had eaten the Parrotfish? The children were successful in this, whilst also learning what creatures fit where in the food chain

Before it was time to go home we were lucky enough to watch the divers feeding the fish. All the children gathered in front of the giant tank and had a brilliant view of all the various fish

It was then time to visit the shop before heading home after a brilliant day!
