Visit To McDonald's

We had a great afternoon visiting Ilkeston's McDonald's store

Year 4 visited the store as part of their Enterprise Project. We went to find out how a business works. We were split into groups and the first group went to have a talk with David, who is the Ilkeston store manager

He explained how the store operates, how they advertise and also how they market their new products. We also got a sneaky peek at the new range which will be out in the spring.

After the very interesting talk we moved on to our next task, tasting the products!

When we had all eaten what we had chosen from the menu it was time to go on our tour. This was very exciting, as it's something you wouldn't get to do unless you actually work there. Firstly we were shown the store rooms where all the packaging for the products are kept. Then the freezer rooms where they store all the fresh produce. Very cold indeed! We then walked round to the huge kitchen where everything is cooked. It was great to see how all the burgers are made, also how other items are put together

We all had a really lovely afternoon and would like to thank all the staff for welcoming us and showing us around.
