Zulu Day

The school was subjected to an alarming invasion by warriors of The Mighty Zulu Nation...and we loved it!

On Friday Chaucer Junior School was subjected to an alarming invasion by warriors of The Mighty Zulu Nation...and we loved it!

The entertainers from Durban in the kingdom of Kwa-Zulu Natal, spent the whole day with us, delighting the children with their energetic, acrobatic traditional Zulu dancing and pulsating drums. After enjoying a performance in the morning, each year group had the opportunity to learn one of their dances in a workshop.

At the end of a memorable day, the children eagerly performed their dances for each-other and for a number of parents, who were drawn inside by the captivating spectacle!
