Chaucer's Got Talent

Contest winner, Alex Revill, revealed a hidden talent, wowing the audience with his rendition of Bruno Mars' "Grenade".

Today, at the end of an extremely busy but successful term, Chaucer held its highly anticipated talent show. The event provided an highly enjoyable afternoon for those lucky enough to be there.

Contest winner, Alex Revill, revealed a hidden talent, wowing the audience with his rendition of Bruno Mars' "Grenade".

In what was a hotly contested competition, Alex narrowly defeated a whole host of other popular acts such as:

- Jesiah Manzano's intricate keyboard solo,

- an energetic and quite hilarious dance routine to "What Does the Fox Say?" by Jack Barker, Emily Stuart, Michael Stuart, Joshua Jones-Moody, George Bramley and Grace Freeman,

- an original and witty song about Ilkeston's shops by Evie Farmer, Abigail Woods and Amber Glenn,

- a touching version of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" by Kyle Spurr, Iris Castro, Emily Pickering and Jessica Dove.
