Decimal Dicing!!!

What do you know about decimals?

This week we have been working very hard in numeracy. We now know lots about decimals.

Did you know?:

1. Decimals are parts of numbers - They are not whole numbers, for example 22.3 is between 22 and 23.

2. Use a place-value chart to help you find out the value and position of the decimal number e.g.

Here is a place value chart

The numbers to left of the decimal point are whole numbers e.g. 1,342,365

The numbers to the right are parts of whole numbers e.g.     .1427

Here is a list fun websites to help you learn about decimals, we hope you enjoy them!
