Change 4 Life is about making changes to your lifestyle, the aim being to lead a healthy and long life. Change 4 Life means "eat healthily, keep active and live longer".
Children are advised to keep active for at least 60 minutes a day. This can include walking or walking to and from school, joining a sports club or playing in the park - anything as long as you are having fun and staying active. If we don't use our energy it is stored as fat, which builds up over time, causing illnesses.
Eat healthily. Avoid too much salt and sugar. Did you know there are 22 teaspoons of sugar in 1 bag of sweets? Or that there are 11 teaspoons of sugar in a soft drink? So try to swap chocolate bars and crisps for healthier options. Aim for 5 portions of fruit and veg each day.
