Y3/4 Girls @ Ashgate

Although it was a friendly, the Chaucer girls were out for revenge after seeing our Y5/6 Girls team beaten in May.

Chaucer's Y3/4 Girls' Football team enjoyed a fun friendly match at Ashgate Primary School in Derby last week.

Although it was a friendly, the Chaucer girls were out for revenge after seeing our Y5/6 Girls team beaten in the Chaucer-Ashgate Challenge trophy match in May. The team of Madeline "Loony" Ludlam (c), Aaliyah Hemming, Levi "Wally" Whitehead, Lucy-May Stevenson, "Jazzy" Julia Skrowronska, Olivia Towle, Jessica Stanfield & "Deadly" Danae Matthew took their revenge with ruthless efficiency.

Chaucer scored early and often, swarming around their shell-shocked opponents to open up a 6-0 lead before half-time. The scoring died down after the interval as the Ashgate goallie found her form. However, she was unable to stop everything that Chaucer bombarded her with and the final score was 9-0.

Scorers; Danae (3), Lucy-May (2), Levi (2), Julia (1), Jessica (1).

The game was played in a great spirit and, as always, Ashgate were wonderful hosts. Thanks to Mr Odell at Ashgate and thanks also to Miss Stallard for her help with transport and substitutions!
