Better week for Chaucer

Chaucer football team went to Heanor leisure centre to play their second week of football!!!

When Chaucer went to play their second week's worth of football at Heanor they performed much better. Chaucer played three matches, lost 2 and won 1. Even though Chaucer lost against 2 of the best teams in the tournament, they put in an improved performance from week 1 and kept the games close.

First match against Marpool we lost 2-0 and Charlie got injured by a bone-jarring body-check into a wall. The wall was undamaged! Second game was a better performance. Ironville were unfortunate because we won 4-1 thanks to goals from Brandon Flitter, George Ball, Ellis Briggs and Charlie Palmer. Charlie would have scored another had it not been been for a spectacular goal-line clearance by Ellis - at the wrong end!

Despite a goal from Ellis (at the right end!) we lost the last match 4-1 to Granby.
