More Planting For RHS Chelsea 2015

We returned to West Park Nurseries to plant more crops

We started planting a month ago for this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show. We returned to plant on our experiment plants, which are Broad Beans and Swiss Chard. They are growing well, and over the next few weeks we have to measure their height and leaf growth

The idea for the experiment is to grow the Broad Beans and Swiss Chard in three different composts. So now we have potted them on we have, ten plants in Chaucer garden soil, ten plants in Chaucer garden soil plus contents out of our compost bins, and ten plants in garden soil and compost mix PLUS Miracle Gro 'Magic Start

We also planted some Potatoes, Strawberries, Nasturtiums and Calendulas for the show

I would like to thank John Housechild who is the Nursery Manager at West Park for helping us with our planting and for the use of the greenhouses. I would also like to thank Mrs Upton for taking time out of her busy schedule to help us too!
