We have completed our experiments for RHS Chelsea this year, now it's time to find out how we have got on
On writing this blog I am thrilled to tell you all that for the 4th year in a row we have been chosen to attend RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016. Not only that, we are also the only school from Derbyshire to be asked. So we are not only proud to be representing our school but also our town and county. I am sure we will have lots to tell you when we have been to the show later on in May.
Now, regarding our results: CABBAGES
My previous blog explains what the experiments entail. On weighing each category of cabbages our results show that by using a Miracle Gro continuous release plant food DOES work better than just using garden soil alone, or a Miracle Gro Growmore feed. Our results from all the schools are being collected by Miracle Gro, and will be on display on the Miracle Gro'wers Stand in the Great Pavilion at RHS Chelsea. A graph is also in our photo album, which will be in school after the show
On counting and weighing our carrots, our results show that by using a Miracle Gro Root Boosting Compost, and a Peat Free Compost we got more carrots per bag than just using plain garden soil. Also the weight of each bag was more too
We have had lots of fun doing the experiments for the Miracle Gro growing trials. I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Richard Windsor from Erewash Borough Council, and John Housechild from West Park Nurseries for all their help
