Community Garden Opened

Our new Community Garden was officially opened by Maggie Throup MP

On Friday we officially opened our new, Community Garden. The garden has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund, and built for us by Birmingham community company Gro-Organic CIC. Maggie Throup MP very kindly agreed to come and open the garden for us

Also present were Councillor James Dawson, Councillor Glennice Birkin, Chaucer's School Council and some children from Chaucer Infant School. Not forgetting Kermit, the garden's mascot

The rules of the garden and a poem were read out by the School Council. The children then looked at some of the books that will be available to read during lunch in the quiet area.

This garden is going to be another great addition to Chaucer, and I'm sure the children are going to benefit greatly from it!
