This was a really fun afternoon taking part in the RSPB's national Birdwatch.

It is always nice to watch the birds around you, but even better if we can help the RSPB try and get some kind of idea of our bird population.

This happens over the weekend of the 27-29th January, and you have to observe the birds you see for a hour either in your own garden, a park or like us our school garden.

We waited until everyone was inside school to try and give the birds a chance of visiting. We saw lots flying OVER school, but they were too far away to count. But the ones that enjoyed spending time in our garden were mainly wood pigeons and blackbirds. We didn't see lots but what we did see we really enjoyed, and we helped the RSPB in the process, so all good!
