50th ANNIVERSARY 1ST MAN ON THE MOON DISPLAY.

This year I thought it would be lovely to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first man on  the moon with a garden display as part of our Cultivation Street entry.

Last year we entered a Calliope geranium competition as part of Cultivation Street. We came a runner up in this winning 100 geraniums. So again this year we had to come up with an imaginative display with the plants to enter again. So we thought nothing better the first man on the moon. We've also had a lovely visit from Radio Derby for the children to talk about our display and the poems they wrote which was great!
