Home Learning W/C 04.5.20
Weekly blog commencing- May the 4th -be with you. :)
Hello everyone! Just another quick note about the week ahead:
Home learning continues through our use of the Seesaw app. A typical day is outlined below, which continues from previous weeks. We will be posting Monday to Thursday this week as Friday is a bank holiday.
Furthermore a ‘menu’ of ideas are on the Year 3 blog that are possibilities for additional activities, if you wish to do more than the daily activities set. You can find them on this previous post:
A Reminder of A Typical Day:
9am : Physical activity for body and mind (approx. 20-30 mins). The post on Seesaw provides a choice of ideas so that you don’t have to just do Joe Wicks every day (unless, of course, you want to!)
9:30am : Maths - Mondays will be TTRS/Times tables-based. Tues-Thurs will be a video lesson recorded by Mr Smith that will go over prior learning in school. Fri will be a more ‘practical’ lesson wherever possible. (Remember there will be no posts this Friday due to the bank holiday)
10:45am : English – Monday will be a comprehension. Tuesday- Thursday activities will vary between reading, grammar, spelling and writing activities. Friday is usually a spelling activity but will be postponed until the following week as we are not posting on bank holiday.
1pm : An afternoon activity based around a weekly theme. This week it is ‘Celebrations.’
PLEASE NOTE: We will be running afternoon activities throughout the week which aim to bring us together as classes and as a school community. We know lots of you are missing each other so it would be great to see you all taking part to celebrate how amazing we all are at Chaucer Junior School. Please keep your eyes open for these unique and exciting activities.
Stay safe and we look forward to seeing and hearing from you.
Mr Smith, Miss Richards and the Y3 team.
