Welcome to Year 6

Year 6 have made a marvellous start to the new academic year and are proving to be excellent role models to the younger pupils.

Miss Smith, Miss Stallard and Mrs Starling have been really impressed with the excellent start Year 6 have made. If Year 6 continue with the same positive and mature attitude, then their final year at Chaucer Junior's will be a successful one.

So far, we have begun to recap some basic grammar (before moving onto the tricky stuff) and have looked at place value and rounding in maths.

We have also started training to compete in the next Olympics as part of our P.E. lessons. This term, P.E. will be on a Tuesday and we will be doing hockey - maybe we will find the next Hollie Webb!

September is gearing up to be busy for us and we are looking forward to our trips to the Victorian workhouse, Southwell and of course, Whitehall.

With Week 1 ending, we are looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings.

Well done Year 6 - keep up the great work!
