Whitehall - Day 1

We have had a great first day at Whitehall.

Despite their questionable bed-making skills, our intrepid adventurers are all tucked up in their dormitories and (although it is unlikely that they are all asleep!) they are, at least, being relatively quiet.

We've had a lovely experience so far, beginning with a relaxed afternoon of unpacking, exploring and on-site activities. In preparation for the evening, we devoured a substantial meal of lasagne, salad and chunky chips, followed by cornflake tart which was good enough to rival that of our own kitchen! Hopefully the staff stranded at home won't be too jealous! After that, we embarked upon an epic, 2-hour night hike around a reservoir before pumping them full of hot chocolate and shipping them off to bed.

All in all, exactly the calm and enjoyable trip so far that we hoped for and expected. As usual, our Year 6s are doing us proud and representing the school wonderfully.

We'll keep you all updated!
