Forest Schools At Canal Vue Care Home
Forest School group went on tour today, to see our friends at Canal Vue Care Home where we have a great intergenerational link. This time we were there to make them smile in the Spring, planting bulbs in their planters for the residents to appreciate. The children went above and beyond not only planting, but chatted to residents and swept and collected leaves. Our hard work was rewarded as Naomi provided refreshments for the children. We were so proud of the group, who hid their kindness stones along the canal. If you spot one please post on Chaucer Junior School Facebook page and re hide to spread the kindness.
Our mindful walk along the canal had the children chatting about, waterskiing, and showering swans, they all thoroughly enjoyed being in the fresh air. As usual the afternoon flew by. Big thank you to Mrs Wheatley and Naomi for organising. The care home had a special request for a resident of theirs if any avid chess players would like to play chess with one of their residents please email us.
