Forest Schools, Miss Tyer's Class
The weather was kind to us today, a stunning Autumn afternoon with Toucan's class for #forestschools. They happily headed up to the field in their wellies. We practised mindfulness, then recruited 5 secret agents to hide within the set boundaries. The rest of the children had to track down the agents to collect the secret code, the mission impossible was completed. We then learnt a lashing technique with string and sticks to create a perch for our apple and sunflower seeds bird feeder. The session concluded with an exciting game of hunters and survivors, the survivors hid - some chose additional camouflage on their faces - and gave the hunters a great chase. All children took home a bird feeder for their garden. Huge thank you to Miss Limb and Mrs Wheatley, the afternoon flew by!
