Forest Schools, May 14th
Sadly today was the last session of forest schools with this wonderful group of children. They should have a real sense of achievement, today after our mindful moment we foraged for firewood, then chose and whittled our very own S'more stick. The forest cafe was run smoothly by two volunteers, taking leaves as payment. The fire starters were there eager with their flint and steel, who made a very successful fire. Our pizza quasedias were soo tasty with S'mores for desert. Finally as a request we played crocodile river and reviewed our time at forest schools. I trust they will take from these sessions, less time on screens and more time immersed in green spaces as they all felt huge benefits.
