Forest Schools, Miss Stallard's Class
A beautiful autumnal afternoon, the children were working on listening and self awareness at forest schools. First, we had our mindful moment concentrating on elephant breathing. We then had a brilliant scavenger hunt, the children were enthusiastically searching. Crows & Cranes was our next game where the children had to listen well to decide if they attacked or fled. As the weather gets cooler it becomes more difficult for the birds to find food so we made pine cone, lard and seed bird feeders.
Camouflage was a game this class was amazing at, the whole class managed to disappear even when they only had a few seconds to hide - very impressive. We finished with our double bluffing game of Bear, Salmon and Mosquito. Huge thank you to Mr Smith, Mrs Wheatley and Mrs Henshaw for their enthusiasm today.
