Year 4 Making Damper Bread
It's great to be back again for the start of another school year. Together with Year 4 we had a brilliant afternoon. To bring history alive we started the term off making round houses with woven sticks, used natural dye to replicate Celtic patterns, played Romans versus Celts and sampled Celtic cooking making Damper bread over open fires whilst regaling tales around the fire. The children thought the Damper bread was delicious and likened it to doughnuts. A fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable start to Year 4!
