Commonwealth Games Event
We had a brilliant time at the Commonwealth Games Event at Moorways, Derby with Erewash School Sports Partnership along with lots of other schools from around the county, including Cotmanhay Junior School. Each school represented a country of the Commonwealth, ours was Papua New Guinea.
The children got to enjoy lots of various sports including, howler javelin, shot putt, boccia, relay, long jump and cycling. It was great to see the children enjoying the different sports, some of which they'd never tried before. Thank you to Cycle Derby for their expertise with the cycling event.
After lunch the children then got the opportunity to join in some running events.
