Forest Schools, Feb 11th
Cold but exciting session. We had our mindful moment, then played crocodile river, the children were amazing at evading capture. After we attempted the quoit spinning game, some of the children were quicker than others as jumpers. Back up in the Forest School area, the children tried out their artistic skills using the charcoal we had made the previous week, delicately drawing winter trees. Our campfire was lit, as we had drop cakes to make, we had a fire team, topping team and of course an eating team! Although slightly burnt the children enjoyed the cakes. The children then painted an appreciation rock, one child expressed gratitude for Forest School which was lovely. We played knife, fork, spoon to finish then left the woods without a trace as is our motto. Thank you to Mrs Lambert for helping us.
