Forest Schools, Mr Smith's Class
Beautiful afternoon with Penguins, we discussed the benefits of being outside with others on wellbeing. The children had a mindful moment and then played a very competitive game of 'Chaos' which involved the staff being targeted on numerous occasions. The children created a Bayeux style tapestry of their memories of Chaucer using foraged materials. Their teamwork and collaboration on this was outstanding. The forest school cafe was offering cold drinks. Over at the ropes the children had numerous problems to solve. It was great to see their resilience at the hit miss skipping challenge. Tug of War was very entertaining watching the determination on their faces. Finally we had water races and predictably the children got very wet. We were so impressed with the children who embraced everything and understood the need for self awareness. Huge thank you to Mrs Footitt and Mrs Wheatley who always get so involved in all the activities.
