Forest Schools, Mr Higgins Class
Had the best afternoon being reunited with Dolphins again in #forestschools. We focussed the session on improving their emotional intelligence. After our mindful moment, we flew as owls across the field searching for the dormice, then played chaos, as usual the children made sure I was constantly chased. As the children made their rock person which will remind them of the area (of emotional intelligence) they need to work on to self improve.
Next came the shelter building challenge, which needed to protect their rock person from the storm which was due in 30 minutes. Using their best cooperative skills soon built effective shelter. But would they stand up to the storm test??? We played hibernating hedgehog, then time for the water fill challenge, it is never my intention for them to get so wet, but they had so much fun and a full house of 10/10 for the session from all the children and adults.
