Forest Schools, January 21st
A fantastic, resilient start to our new forest school group, we all donned waterproofs and embraced the British weather. Allan, (a Year 6 child's Grandad) kindly made us some amazing benches, a wooden figure and a lovely bird box. He also made a couple of lovely potting benches and a harvest basket for our school garden.
We then played an exciting game of hunters and survivors. Next we played beat the quoit and as the rain worsened we built emergency shelters with exceptional team work and set to making decorated kindness pebbles to hide in the community next week.
Lots of muddy faces for our final games of granny footprints and our favourite camouflage. Getting the wellies off at the end seemed the biggest challenge of the day, but plenty of rosy cheeks and smiles all round. Big thank you again to Allan for his extremely kind donation.
